FAQ

Do you offer evening and weekend appointments?

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. Telehealth appointments are available when clinically appropriate. You must be physically located in Oklahoma at the time of your appointment. Some evaluations, including initial evaluations, require an in-person visit.

Yes! We offer flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend appointments when available.

Do you treat ADHD?

Yes. We evaluate and treat ADHD in children and adults. An evaluation is required before medication is prescribed, and an ADHD diagnosis does not automatically mean a stimulant will be recommended.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept many commercial insurance plans, Medicare, SoonerCare, and select SoonerSelect plans. Please contact our office to verify that we participate with your specific plan.

Will you continue medications prescribed by another provider?

Not automatically. Our providers will review your current medications, treatment history, and individual needs before making recommendations. Scheduling an appointment does not guarantee continuation of a specific medication or dose.

Do you prescribe controlled medications?

Controlled medications may be prescribed when clinically appropriate. All controlled-substance prescribing is based on an individual evaluation, treatment history, safety considerations, and Moonlit's prescribing policies.

Can I take a stimulant if I also take a benzodiazepine?

Moonlit generally does not prescribe stimulants and benzodiazepines together on an ongoing basis. If you currently take both, you are still welcome to schedule an evaluation. Your provider will discuss treatment options with you, which may include safely tapering the benzodiazepine before stimulant treatment. Never stop a benzodiazepine suddenly without medical guidance.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring your photo ID, insurance card, current medication list, and any relevant medical or psychiatric records.

What if my medication needs a prior authorization?

We will provide your insurance company with the required clinical information. However, your insurance plan makes the final decision regarding medication coverage.

What if I need help between appointments?

Contact our office for non-emergency questions or medication concerns. Moonlit Mental Health is an outpatient practice and does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
